SSA Culinary Institute provides a platform for single mothers and physically challenged individuals to start their own micro-businesses
Singapore, 18 December 2017 – Organised by the SSA Culinary Institute (SSACI), a 3-day Food and Learning Fair will be held at Hougang Central Hub from the 22nd to the 24th December 2017.
This event will welcome two great guest chefs, Chef Iswariya and Chef David Ong, to share their culinary wisdom through baking demos, showcasing delectable desserts, which include cookies, muffins, and cakes.
Five food stalls will also be provided for free among unique partners who are single moms or physically challenged individuals.
“Community engagement lies at the core of what we do,” shared Mr. Suhaimi Salleh, founder and Chief Executive Officer of SSA Group of Companies. “We want to reach out to those economically disadvantaged homemakers by giving them a platform to be more enterprising.”
Mr. Suhaimi explained that as an opportunity provider through training and other professional services, SSA is committed to ensure that upgrading is available to everyone, regardless of means.
“I am therefore pleased to note that several of those we have identified are taking up the offer and hopefully through this event, they will be more confident to commercialise their skills and products.” Mr. Suhaimi noted.
Founded in 2016, SSACI promises a series of quality baking courses for its trainees – revolving around personal development, entrepreneurship, and teambuilding. Through this event, SSACI aims to provide individuals with the skills needed to bring their businesses to greater heights.
As SSACI’s celebrity chef Siti Matsura says, “Empower yourself with new skills…. this will kickstart your entrepreneurial journey!”
